Our Mission
At Pride & Pleasure, we believe that sex education is more than just prevention, it’s liberation. Rooted in a pleasure-centered, inclusive, and medically informed approach, our mission is to empower individuals of all identities to embrace their authentic selves through comprehensive and affirming sex education. By prioritizing pleasure, wellness, and bodily autonomy, we create safe spaces for learning, exploration, and empowerment, ensuring that everyone has the knowledge and confidence to navigate their sexual health with agency and joy.

Pride
Sex education has long been shrouded in shame, fear, and stigma but we are here to change that. We believe in building a culture where people feel proud, empowered, and unafraid to engage in conversations about sex, relationships, and identity.

Our "&" is a symbol of growth, expansion, and inclusion. We reject shutting down conversations. Instead, we add, include, and broaden them. The "&" reminds us that we are never done learning, there is always more to add, more to question, and more to build.

Pleasure
We focus on pleasure-centered education that gives people the knowledge and confidence to have safe, fulfilling, and joyful sexual experiences and relationships. Pleasure means having the tools, knowledge, and freedom to fully embrace your sexuality on your own terms.
Our Guiding Principles
Sex-Positive & Body-Positive Education
We believe that sex is not shameful, and neither are the bodies we experience it with. Our practice is grounded in a sex-positive, body-positive approach that affirms diverse identities, experiences, and desires celebrating pleasure, autonomy, and self-expression in all its forms.
Anti-Oppression & Decolonization
We recognize that the history of sex education has been shaped by colonialism and the systemic oppression of BIPOC communities, and we are committed to decolonizing sex education by challenging these harmful narratives and centering diverse, historically excluded voices.
Inclusive, Accessible, & Affirming Dialogue
We create nonjudgmental, inclusive spaces where people of all identities and abilities can show up authentically. Our education is designed to be culturally responsive, trauma-informed, and adaptable, meeting folks where they are, with language that affirms and empowers rather than excludes.
Community-Centered Learning & Unlearning
We don’t claim to be the only experts in the room. Instead, we believe in co-creating knowledge with our communities: learning, unlearning, and growing together. We prioritize collaboration over hierarchy and practice education as a tool of liberation, not control.
